Add a charming touch to your cards and notes by scenting
your stationery paper. Place the paper in a resealable plastic
bag. Place two or three drops of your favorite essential oil
(rosemary would be great for holiday notes) on a cotton ball
and carefully place it in the plastic bag but not on top of the
paper. This works well when you lay the bag flat in a cupboard
or on a shelf where it won't be bothered. Seal the bag and wait!
This doesn't take long to scent the paper-check again in a week.
Rose oil is also a lovely scent to try, as is lavender.
Another alternative is placing your stationery in a plastic
tub or resealable plastic bag with scented soap, wax potpourri
tarts or candles. Leave them for about a week, and they will
also scent the paper. You can also do this with an empty
journal to scent the pages!
If you are giving the stationery as a gift glue a sprig
of the herb or a dried pressed flower to the lid of the
stationery box with craft glue or hot glue and tie with
a pretty ribbon.
